REINFORCEMENTS.
DRAFTS OPENED' TO- VOLUNTEERS
The 44th 'Reinforcement draft will be mobilised next week, but volunteers arc still being accepted, as it is desired to have the draft as strong as possible., It is also announced that the drafts entering camp up till October (the 45th, 46tn and 47th) are now open for voluntary listment. This is a reversion to the former practice of allowing voluntary enlistment for three months ahead, lhis practice was discontinued when the.rat* of recruiting was expedited recently, as the medical boards were kept toebusily engaged with balloted men and volunteers who were willing to enter camp immediately. ~,,!, .'w * It has further been decided' that luist Division men from to-day onwards will receive 28 days instead of 14 days as hitherto between the date of medical examination and mobilisation. Tins will not be retrospective. For the Second Division the three months' leave will be continued,as formerly..
