MONTHLY MEETINJUThe following business in addition "t< th?lii already reported wai* transacted at yesterday's meeting of the Nelioi Harbour Board: It was resolved to "write, asking rtha' the Murchison .petition for inclusion/ ii the the Nelson Harbour ' district be forwarded to the Board. Mr Edwards moved that an' expend: ture up to £IOO be authorised on th< mole. He did not think there was any thing to fear in regard to the mole.— . Carried. Mr Allport moved that the SecreLar; ■ to.the Board attend at an office ii town from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2 p.ro to 3 p.m. on one duy a week for tht next> four.-'weeks, to facilitate the pay ment of rates, z - The Cliairmau said that this e.houk be "done another time. It was too latto Ho.it this year.. ? . The Secretary said it was the townpeople who were maiir.y " comptaiinini about "having to come to the Port U pay the rate. The •country peopl made no complain fe. The Chairman thought the complaint were probably more due to having ti pay a rate than .to having to come . t the Port.
