At the welcome to delegates to the. Dominion Conference of .Second Division Leagues, Mr ■ Armstrong, the president, said that many members were faced by two questions—responsiblity to the State and responsibility to dependants. The League's objects were to ensure the. welfare of the soldier and his dependents, and at the same time to loyally assist the Government in carrying out' the Dominion's part in the .var. He was quite satisfied that through its efforts the Second Divisioners nad £,< ne into camp. in better spirit than iVt< y would have done under the -or. Wwvs of 1917. a.nd thus had assisted in the matter of morale.
