MOTUEKA-RIWAKA BRIDGE
PEPUTATION TO -MINISTER OF PUBLIC WORKS.
The Minister for Public Works, fair Win. iFraser, will to-morrow receive a Seputation from the AVaimea County Conucil in connection with the Mot-u----ekaiKßiwaka bridge. Cr. Best, Mr •"Whiteside {county engineer), Mr J. [Wallace *(Mavor of 'Motueka), and Mr ■R: T. Hudson, M.P. for Motueka. will forni the deputation. The Government. •w2l be asked to allow the. "tt'aimea County Council to re-erect the -Motu ek'a>end of the bridge in conci-ete (in stead oi timber as proposed by flie Government) and further to allow the Council to proceed with trie work on behalf of the Government. There has 'Been a delay of some three years of the* prosecution of ilie Government's portion of the work, whereas the Council' has completed its portion.
