JAPANESE DESTROYERS IN MEDITERRANEAN
SEVERAL ENGAGEMENTS WITH SUBMARINES.

The United Press Tokio correspondent reports that Japanese destroyers are actively patrolli?ig the Mediterranean and had participated in several engagements with submarines. Japanese warships on 3rd May were escorting Allied transports, whereof one was torpedoed, all on 'board being saved.
