MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR AT WANAGNUI.
■MAS' FOUND DEAD IN HOTEL BEDROOM.

WANGAfNTJI. May 19
A mysterious affair was disclosed la=t night when the body of Thomas 'Miller Scott, of Bulls, was found in a bedroom at the .Criterion Hotel. Scott evidently entered the room, unknown to the proprietor, on Friday night, and locked himself in. The room was entered by a window last night, and Scott's body, undressed, was found lying across the bed. A postmortem examination is being made this evening.
