(Sir Douglas Haig's aviation report states:—Aeroplanes on Friday dropped t%venty two tons of bombs on Tournai; Courtrai, and Chaulnes railway stations; also on. several aerodromes and' ibillette all along the: front. . Hostile aircraft are less active than recently although large formations were encountered/yrell east of. the lines. Our night fliers dropped ten tons of bombs on Chaulines, Habourdin, Doupai, and Marcoing stations, and Peronne and neighbourhood of Bapaume.. They also., dropped thirty two
"bombs on Thionville and; .Metz rail way stations. Several direct hits were observed, aria a fire started at Thiornville.
We made a successful daylight raid on Saturday on railway stations, factories, and 'barracks in Cologne. Thirty (three bombs were dropped and bursts were seen in the railway snels.
