WELLINGTON MARKET REPORT. (Special to "Mail.")

Griffiths and Co. Ltd. (incorporating Braid and Wallace) report the nVellington market a 6 firm, and increasing demand is very evident for all choice lines of fruit now offering, and they strongly, advise regular-"shipment's of both apples and pears. The monthly Island steamer arrived this week, landing some 5000 cases fruit, but even this quantity has not affected the market for local fruit. Values to-day' are as follow :

Pears, choice firm Coles, Nelis, lis od to • 12s 6d ; others 9s to 10s per bushel; Bosca 7s 6d to 8s 6d; Durondeau 7s 6d to 8s; Capiaumont 8s 9d to 9s ; Vicars '6s to 7s; according to sample; Keiffers' 5s to 6s for choice. All at per bushel. Quinces in very short supply, s 7s to Bs. •' , '

Apples, Delicious, extra choice, best sizes 7s 6d to 8s; others 5s to 6s; Jonathans, extra choice, best sizes 6s to 6s 6d ; others 4s 6d to ss-6d, according to sample; Cox's Orange, ex cool store, 6s 6d to 7s; Russets, choice, 5s 6d to 6s 6d ; King Davids 4s: to 4s 6d ; Rome Beauties, choice, 4s 6d to 5s : green cookers, according to sample, 4s 9d to 5s 6d; others 4s to 4s 6d.

Grapes, extra choice, Is 8d to 2s lb. Cape goseberrie.s, 6s to 6s 6d half case.

Tomatoes, choice round Hutt, 9s to 10s; others 6s to 7s half-case. Vegetables in fair supply. Sound potatoes £8 10s to £9 10s per ton. Eggs, poultry, butter, in good demand.

Bm-bidge and Son report the market good for best Munroes, Delicious, Golden Russets, also both dessert and-cook-ing pears. Owing, to the. demand falling off, eggs have fallen in price. Current prices: Apples, Delicious 8s to 9s; Jonathans 4s 6d to 6s; Golden Russets 7s 6d to 9s; Brownlee B-ussets 5s to 6s 6d : : Munroes 4s 6d to 5s 9d; Alfristons 4s 6d to 5s 6d; Five Crowns 3s 6d to ss; Epos' Seedlings 3s 6d to 4s 6d. ; Pears, Winter Coles 9s to 12s; Nelis ■9s to 10s 6d; Josephines 8s to' 10s; Vicars 5s to 6s, all bushel cases.
