CHRISTCHURCH. .May 15. LA.t Addingtou market the yarding of fat cattle and fat sheep was large. but the offerings in nearly all the other departments were smaller. In the store sheep section the demand was .mainly for wethers and forwards lambs, the former now being sought after for turnip feeding. There was a limited enquiry for ewes. Fat lambs showed a further falling off. in both numbers and qualitv. but the market was tirm- Prime fat sheep maintained their values, but unfinished and inferior ewes were easier. Fat'cattle .sold at about late rates, exporters operating more freely. There was a rather better enquiry for store cattle, and dairv cows near calving sold well.
