The farmers throughout the Dominion are making a monster protest against the conscription of farm labourers tor the army. They have ben informed by Sir Robert Borden (the Premier) that no matter what the hardship it is the supreme duty of the country to maintain the reinforcements in France. DEFENCE OF THE REALM ACT. A drastic reflation, under the Defence of the Realm Act empowers the Board of Trade to requisition:horses and horse vehicles for the road transport ot any goods. Regulations will also restrict the carriage of certain classes ot goods to specified roads and otherwise nx tne routes for transport -
