OSTEND RAID
"FALSE GERMAN STATEMENTS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association and Reuter.) (Admiralty per "Wireless Press.) LONDON, May 14. A German official message claims that examination of the \ indictive proves" that th e vessel contained no 'cement. She was not blown tip by the English, but was sunk By tiie German fire. The British Admiralty comments that these statements are entirely false. THE DAMAGE AT ZEEBRUGGE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) AMSTERDAM, May 14. Frontier reports state that- aerial raids are inflicting heavy losses- upon the Germans repairing the damage to Zeebrugge caused by the naval raid, and little progress has been made. Soldiers, assisted byi the male population of Zeehrugge, are engaged pn the work, continually, being" compelled to recoro-' mence after bomb bursts.
