The Premiers' Conference has closed. It dealt with a large number of questions, chiefly of Inter-State interest: Several large matters affecting State and Commonwealth relations and , finance were remitted to a_ further Conference of State and Commonwealth Treasurers in July Amongst other recommendations was, one that the wheat-growers be guaranteed 4s 4d a bushel for the years 1918, 1919, and 1920.
