NORTHWARDS F'ROM JAFFA. The day after this brilliant a-ction the mounted troops moved northwards to a village seven miles south of Jaffa, encountering no serious opposition. After a rest of two days, the Wellington Regiment captured! Jaffa without much resistance. There a German Consul was captured, and two small German villages 5n the vicinity were taken. _Here tho New Zealanders were in a veritable paradise, the country being dotted with orange groves and vineyards, covered with ripe fruit.
