GREAT RUSH FOR FRUIT. The experiment of an Apple Day was tried in town to-day, when apples were sold at a very cheap rate. Growers brought a large quantity, which was stacked at the Church Steps. There was a great rush of the public to obtain supplies, arid the result was that spot cash purchasers took away all the apples, leaving orders for several hundred cases on hand.
