y.m.c.a. Mr R. B. Jackson acknowledges the following subscriptions: Bobbie Hunter * 7 6 Mapua and Ruby Bay collection by Mrs Buschelj per Mrs Stafford , 15 0 HELPING HAND SHOP. ' The Helping Hand Shop yesterday gave another day for the Y.M.C.A. War "Work, Fund, and it resulted in the sum of £3O 10s being raised. The total for the two weeks was £54 10s. The expenses were 16s. The ladies in the north-east part of the city again contributed well, as also did Happy Valley, Wakapuaka, and Atawhai. The •committee thank them for their continuous and liberal support; also the boys for their help. .Contributions were received from Foxbill, Hope, Richmond, Stoke, Ennerglyn, Tahuna, The Port. Collins Valley, Girls' Central, Boys Central, and Miss Lightfoot's School. The committee thank - the donor of the .mushrooms sent from- the Upper Moutere, They found a very ready sale. St. John's Methodist Church sent a good contribution from their harveft festival.
