A CONSIDERABLE BOOM.
(Press Association.^ —Copyright.)
SYT>NEY,.'This\ Day.
For a couple of days there has. been' a considerable boom in Broken Hill Proprietary shades. «" Sydney touched 75s and receded "to 725. ■
The rise is less marked in Melbourne and Adelaide.
The cause of sho advance is not apparent. It is partially attributed to Chairman's statement at th e halfyea<rly meeting that the profits for the past year were f-660,000, against £400,000 the previous year, and also the rumour of the intention of the company to r r>ara: fi the 'Newcastle steelworks frontb 0 Broken Hill mining undertaking?.
