ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES
PROTESTS AGAINST ALTERATIONS. Objections to the proposed electoral boundaries close in Christchurch tomorrow. Objections as to the. change of name from Motueka to Duller and the proposal to include parts of the Waimeasfr om Wakefield upwards and the Motueka Valley from Pokororo upwards in the Wairau electorate were forwarded by the Chamber of Commerce last week. These were from the Chamber of Commerce, public meetings at Motueka, Takaka, and Collingwood, the Agricultural and Pastoral Association, the Farmers' Union, and the Collingwood County Council, from the Mayor of Motueka, the chairman of the Waimea County Council, the Motueka Harbour Board, and the Upper Moutere Road Board. There were also petitions from 62 residents of Kohatu and Motupiko Valley, 42 residents of Stanley Brook, 25 residents of Tadmor Valley, 21 residents of Motueka Valley, 28 residents of Thorpe and Dovedale, and 22 residents of Belgrove and Waiiti Valley. The Murchison County Council has also forwarded a resolution protesting against the proposed boundaries.
