WAIMEA COUNTY- COUNCIL I ELECTION. TO THE RATEPAYERS.—WAIITI RIDING. Ladies and Gentlemen.— I am again offering myself as a candidate for election as your representative. Should you do me the honour of electing me for a further term, I will do my best as hitherto to watch your interests and also the interests of the Council as a whole. My motto will always be, Efficiency of administration, as far as it is possible under the present circumstances. The abnormal conditions owing to the war makes the work of administration difficult to carry out, but I am prepared to do my best to see that justice is done to all, and that the Council's business is carried on as economically as possible. I hereby give public notice that the following persons have been duly nominated for the office of Councillors for the Waimea County for the following Ridings, namely : For the Motupiko Riding MACMAHON, George. For the Moutere Riding HEWETSON, Thomas. For the Maitai Riding: ALBOROUGH, William Henry. ALLPORT, Arthur Perry. BEST, Philirj. TOSSWILL, Arthur. For the Motueka Riding: EVERETT, Horatio. GUY, John Arliss. For the Wai-iti Riding: HOULT, Edward Samuel. TUNNIC-LIFF, Henry. For the Wangapeka Riding: DRtJMMOND, Alexander. GIBBS, Frederick William. As the number of Candidates duly nominated for the Motupiko and Moutere Ridings does not exceed the number of Councillors required for the said Ridings respectively, I hereby declare the following candidates duly elected members of the Waimea County Council for the following Ridings, namely : For the Motupiko Riding GEORGE MACMAHON. For the Moutere Riding THOMAS HEWETSON. And as the number of candidates duly nominated for the Ridings of Maitai, Motueka, Wai-iti ,and Wangapeka exceeds the number of Councillors required for those Ridings respectively, I hereby further give Public Notice that a Poll will be taken as between the said candidates for the said last mentioned Ridings on WEDNESDAY, the 14th day of November, 1917.
