The Order of 1 Michael the Brave, with which King George has been decorated by the King' of Roumania, derives its title from a great medieval patriot who for years enabled the Danube principality to retain her independence. A beautiful equestrian . statue of him stands in Bucharest—that is, if it has not come to grief since Roumania entered the war.
