LOCAL ELECTIONS
The following additional nominations have been received in connection with the Waimea County elections : Maitai Riding: Arthur Perry Allport, nominated by John Biggar and Geo. T. Robins. Motueka Riding : Horatio Everett, by Wm. Mickell and Lawrence G. Damean. Wai-iti Riding : E. Samuel Hoult, by G. N. Hunt, Albert Gibbs, A. E. Batt, and .J. W. Eves. •Mr Hoult has also been nominated for the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. At a special meeting of the Motueka Borough Council, after an explanation by the Mayor, it was unanimously decided to support the nomination of Mr A. I. Manoy for a seat on the Nelson Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, wiljh a view to having the borough directly represented on the board. Mr Manoy has agreed to nomination.
