Much has been heard of reinforced concrete ships, and it is reported that in Norway concrete ships, having a displacement of 3000 tons, are being constructed.:. A still more radical departure (says an exchange) is the cast eteel ahip. which . it is proposed >to cast • in sections, with euch ribs and other stiffening members as would be necessary. The sections,- it is said* are- to be about , 10 feeC in length, and they are to be welded together electrically.
