PETROL SUPPLIES.
STATEMENT BY THE PREMIER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Hon.. W. F. Massey informed the House yesterday that he believed a shipment of petrol was on the water for New Zealand. Arrangements were being made to secure a shipment of petrol outside the one mentioned. Resarding the local price of petrol Mr Massey stated that the whole matter was being investigated by the Board of Trade with a view to preventing an undue rise in the price of stocks now in hand.
