Danish, no supplies available Tooley street market. Small sales have taken place provincial markets as high as 4505. Cheese. —Market remains as last reported. New Zealand, States flats, and Australian at Government price; English cheddar, 1375. Hemp.—Manila and) New Zealand! markets show no change. Wheat.— Market quiet but firm; a moderate business has been done. No. 2 Manitoba Northern, 745; No. 1 Whito Canadian 74s 6d; Australian 82s. . Oats.—Market firm with improved demand. SOUTHERN MARKETS. CHRTSTOHURCH. Oct. 23. The local grain and produce market keeps very quiet, there being practically no grain offering outside the chaff, which continues to meet with inquiry, and is worth iro to £5 at country stations for prime heavy quality. the potato market is very dull. The price remains at £2 7s 6d to £2 10s at countrv stations, as growers are not willing to take the potatoes out of the nits for less. Merchants who are indifferent about doing any further business in potatoes this season are only offering £2 4s.
