MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT
The Choir of St. John's Methodist •Church, assisted by friends, gave an excellent musical entertainment in tot. John's Hail last evening. There was * very large attendance. The first part of the .programme consisted or chorus, solos, etc!, from Gaul's Cantate BuM*. The soloists were Mrs Muses Smith, Docksey, 'Cass, Bwrougn, Bad* ford< and Mr Parker. The second portion of the programme opened with tne overture Jteinzi (organ and piano), Misses Baiimber and Neale. Tben followed a song, "The Curfew, ; Mr W J. Salkeld. a recitation by Mis* TTkri, song "The Floral Dance, 'by Miss sßurrough,- and -lastly-the duet, "Watchman! What of the. Night, by Messrs W. J. Salkeld and A. P. Lucas. The applause of the audience was sue* that each item mentioned above had to be repeated. Prior to the singing of the National Anthem, it was announced that the collection that had been take* -rip,during the evening in aid. of the Red Cross TTund amounted to £O.O odd.
