From Booth Macdonald, giving particulars and specifications of the Acme Rtonecrusher. —Resolved that the Council purchase a 12x8 Acme stone crusher. The Foreman reported; .that work at the Reservoir had been finished. The waterpipe- leading :to '.'Mr i % . Coleman, senior's' property had "ferieHv repaired, and being only six inches underground, he was puttinsr a coat of river gravel for about 2i chains to raise the level of the road." Wilkes forwarded plans and specifications of a building to be erected in Oxford-street, and asking for a permit.i—Resolved-that, the permit be granted under the usual conditions. -Resolved, that a by-law be drafted dealing with the licensing of persons setting up or removing electric wires. Resolved, that new notice boards re the speed of motor traffic be procured to be made a uniform' size with those of Nelson. Resolved,; that notice boards regulating the speed of Tjiotors. be placed' at the Appleby corner, McShane's road, and Champion road. Resolved. that a suitable be procured for the use of the Council s workmen. Resolved, that the 'County Council be written to ,asking them to pay half the of valuing the properties which are divided by the new line of the borough off Hill street, and that (Mr S. Wilson be asked to do the valuing. A special meeting was called for Tiiosdav, 13th November. This bein gall the business, the Council rose at 9. p.m.
