The monthly meeting of the Committee, of the Piunket Society-was held-yes-terday afternoon with a good attendance of. members, Mrs Buchanan presidineThe monthly accounts amounting to. £3B 4a lid ,were-passed. JVurse Bisley.'s report was read and showed, satisfactory work, > including, visits, to MotuekiU Wakefield, and Richmond. Mrs ClaudV .Graham was elected a member of the committee. . Final arrangements were made for the various functions in Dominion Baby Week, commencing October 28th. Circulars are being sent-to the clergy, asking them for their cooperation, and that they may call the attention of their congregations to .the work that is being attempted. Mrs Buchanan called attention to some ..leaflets received from Dunedin, addressed to the parents and the fathers of the Dominion which will be distributed dur. fng the week. Sub-committees were appointed as follows: —Publicity Committee, to arrange distribution of literature, advertising, etc, [Misses Ledger (sec.) and- Hunter- Brown j and Mrs Pharazyn ; decorative committee, for Monday's public meeting in the School of Music and Wednesday afternoon in the Shelbourne street school-room, Mrs C Y. Fell arid Mrs Richmond Fell; collecting- committee, Mrs Bernston and Miss Bisley; afternoon *tea committee>Mrs-.Knapp,.Mrs Wastney and Mrs Baumber. .'Letters were read from Mr Yotfng, M.Pv. of Hamilton, who has taken great interest in the movement, and. from Mr T.. Field, .-member- for, Nelson, expressing their willingness to take part in day's meetings should ;their ; Parliament .tary duties permit them, and to help in any'way:possible.'•■<<>. >< !
