RULES RE PROFESSIONALS. •AN- ALTERATION SOUGHT. (United Press Association.) WELLINGTON,' This Day. A special meting of the* Rugby Union delegates from various parts of the, country passed a'resolution that as the English Union rules re professionals, were framed :to suit conditions of .20 years ago, this conference is emphatically" of opinion : that' - the- New ZealandUnion should have the power"- to formulate such < additional rules ro professionals as shall be more in keeping with Thcal' requirements/ Supporters sajs; that the" war had changed things by allowing members and professionals to play together, but if the present 1 rules we.re enforced many'men at the "front would be debari'ed from playing There was some opposition; but the" motion was carried by 16 to 9 and also one to make immediate application' to the English Union for the power .sought, ' " '
