LAST MAN ON A FARM TO REMAIN. ! FURTHER GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) "WELLINGTON, This Day. Sir. James Allen read a series of circulars setting, out the policy of the Government on the subject of taking the laist man off the farm. The Go"vernment did not want the last man taken. He believed the Military Service Boards, thoroughly understood the wishes of the Government in this respect and he believed they ; were carrying but these wishes. There might be individual cases ; where this was; not being done. If so, he asked members to supply him .with' particulars of 'such cases and he would have them inquired into.
