- WASHINGTON, May 21. IBy Mr iPenfield, the late Ambasador afc Vienna, and other sources, information has 'been disclosed of an ambitious German scheme to control half Europe. Ger.manv planned the estabkshment oi <a creat military and economic dominion, extending from the North Sea to the Mediterranean, embracing Bulgaria and Turkey, and. controlling the Dardanelles, th e Baltic, and the Aegean, with Austria subservient, thus laying the foundation of a German world empire. , The revelation is regarded as most, conclusive proof- that Germany e past and projected peace manoeuvres aiemerely attempts to affect a truce to enable the consolidation of her territory in south-eastern Europe.
