THE VAL TRIGGE MISSION
"\ {Richmond Methodist Church was well filled both morning and evening yesterday, in spite of the rough, stormy weather. Sir Trigge was listened to with rapt attention. The morning service was devoted to the teaching of Holiness, and the truth of the existence . of the Holy Spirit as a person rather 1/han a mere influence was powerfully stressed; the night meeting was a purely gospel one, and art its clo'se several persons declared for a higher Christian life. A goodly number braved the elements and attended' the" local Oddfellows' Hall during the afternoon. The Rev. Mr Ashcroft was chairman, and Mr Trigge gave an impassioned address; solos were rendered, the hymn-singing was hearty, and •the local patriotic and- 'Red Cross funds / will benefit from the collection taken up ' during the afternoon. Gospel meetings will be held in the Queen street Methodist Church to-night and to-morrow, and on Wednesday Mr Trigee will tell the captivating story of his life. All meetings are preceded by a short song-service, commencing at 7.30 o'clock sharp. ;"'., ■-•■■ '■-.
