INTERNED LINER DAMAGED

LONDON, Feb. 17.
Iteuter's Boston correspondent reports that Oaptain Polack, of the Kronprincessen 'Decile, at the hearing of a suit in connection with the projected sale of the steamer, gave evidence that he was instructed by an official of the German Embassy to disable the machinery to prevent the use of the vessel by the United States in the event of war. The order was obeyed' at the of January, the damage being estimated at £20,000: ■ . ■ . . JPoiacfc was excuse'd from disclosing the name of the official on his declaring that if he did so he would be courtmar tialled in Germany.
