In the lionse of Commons Mr Mason as'kcd for facilities to discuss Hen Bethmar.il Kollweg's peace proposals. Mr Bonar Law said h.e was not aware that Ilerr Bethmann Hollweg had proposed' any peace terms, which were not based on German victory. No useful purpose could be served by such discussion. Mr Bonar Law assured Mr Wedgewood that Colonial. Office influence was directed to securing- the. largest possible man-power from the Crown Colonies.
