; Fanta-stic reports in the German papers regarding the extent of the Anglo-French casualties on the SorAme. Meanwhile a. significant silence is maintained concerning the Central Empires' losses', which " are conservatively estimated on the Eastern and Western' fronts at three-quarters of a million, 220.000 being dead or disabled' permanently, and 380,000 prisoners. Six hundred guns and 1500 machine guns have been captured? Their losses against Italy are not included.
