RUSSIANS EVACUATE RUDKA
OPERATIONS ON THE SERETH. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) PETROGRAD, Aug. 5. A communique states that fierce allnight fighting compelled us to evacuate the village of Rudka Mirinskuni, Inch was attacked three times. •General Sakharoff's troops are engaged in hot fighting southward of Brady. A communique reports obstinate fighting on tho Sereth, south of Brody. The enemy made several counter-at-tacks against our detachments on the right bank of the river, but all .tailed. Austro-Germans numbering a- division south-west of Ivuty attacked our small : detachments occupying the mountain i passes, and forced them back a short } distance. j
