The Waimea County Council to-day endorsed the resolution which is to be submitted to public meetings throughout the Dominion, to-morrow, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the war. The resolution has been forwarded by the Premier, and is as follows : "That on this, the second anniversary of the declaration of a righteous war, the Waimea Council records its inflexible determination to continue to a victorious end the straggle in maintenance of those ideals of liberty and justice which are the common and sacred cause of the Allies."

It being impossible to hold meetings throughout the country, the 'Council decided to endorse the resolution in the manner stated. There will be a public gathering of citizens at the Church Steps to-morrow evening to pass a similar resolution.
