At the Conference of the Federation of Patriotic War Relief Societies to-day, resolutions were passed recoirimendmg 1 hat th&. rate of pay to members of the T\xped'itionai*y Force be five shillings a day for the first 'month, instead of four < hillings, and that messing allowance be paid to all returned men while awaiting the medical 'board aiter discharge front' "hospital and, (altogether, .that i hero be a more liberal interpretation of conditions amd-er whreh this -allow anco may be paid;; that the Prime Minister .b'o approached to secure legislation establishing moratorium so as to g/vo protection to soldiers in respect to property owned 'by them upon which ■money is owing, unless the Judge otherwise directs and that the protection granted by the British Government be tiken as a .basis for New Zeak-md.
