FATALITY AT MOTUEKA
MAN RUN OVER BY MOTOR CAR.
The Nelson police have been notified by Constable Pidgeon that a fatal accident occurred late yesterday afternoon at the Moutere. The motor mail car from Nelson, 'driven by James Leahy, •when proceeding on the proper side of the road, met a man- named Frank Smith ■walking towards the Moutere, and pushing a "bicycle. Smith, it is stated, appeared to waver and got in front of the car, which was lighted, and was run over. "When picked up it was found that his nech was broken. Deceased, who is stated to have been deaf, was a single man, 30 years of age, and lived with his parents at Lower Moutere.
