Among those recently reported wounded are:—Corporal J. A. Scott, (next of kin, Mrs J. A. Scott, Takaka, mother); Private W. R. Walker (J. Walker, Ferntown, Collingwood, father).
In the House of Representatives yesterday, Mr moved resolutions expressing appreciation of -the servic-js of the late John Stevens and W. Barrda, ex members of the Council, were carried.
The death is announced of Mr J. Fox Bell, elder son of Mr C. Bell, of Nelson, The late Mr Bell enlisted with. the Otago reinforcements, and. was wounded! in France a few days ago.
Mrs Hogan, of Russell-street, on Saturday, received word that her brother, Private Davis E. Hollis, previously ..imported wounded, was in Hospital in London with a dangerous wound in the shoulder./ On the Monday Mrs Hogan received the sad news that the wounds had proved' .fatal, and that Private Hollis had ."died,,,pn. 27th July.
