LATEST GRAFT SCANDAL. (Australian and N.Z. Cible Association.) NEW YORK, July 20. Tnvestications indicate gigantic graft between "the New York police and the white slavers. The grand jury returned an indictment against five detectives wno are charged with bribery. All were attached to the Tenderloin district, and had bee-i engaged in fighting the white slave traffic. The prosecutor promised startling disclosures. The investigation was the outcome of a grand ball for which' Tenderloin dwellers were compelled to purchase large blocks to tickets. It is alleged- that the police participated in the proceeds.
