MONTHLY MEETING. The following' additional business was transacted' at yesterday's meeting of the Nelson- ■ Hospital and 'Charitable Aid Board: — HEALTH INSPECTOR'S. REPORT, The Her. Ith/ Inspector (Mr H. Goltman) reported : Infectious diseases, nine cases of scarlet fever have .been reported, in ■the city; three at Atawhai; one fatal case of infantile .paralysis at Motueka; two cases of scarlet fever at Upper Mataki; two cases of scarlet fever and three cases of diphtheria at Takaka ; nine cases of scai-let fever at U'.iMikuri. Sale of Food and Drugs Act; Samples of milk were obtained at Nelson and forwai*ded to Wellington) for analysis and' samples oJ bread were purchased and other quantities of bread were- we ghed, particulars being iforwarded to the District Health Officer. HOSPITAL RETURNS. The Hospital, returns showed) that there were 66 patients in. the institution, on June 30th. Du.iing the month 52 ■patients were admitted, -54 were dis- - charged, and there were four deaths. OORESPONDENCE.
