WELLINGTON WOOL, .SKINS, AND HIDES ALE. * Messrs E. Buxton anHr Co., Ltd., report that at the usual fortnightly sale held on Friday last full catalogues of sheepskins and hides and the usual quantities of wool in, - tags, oddments, tallow, etc., were' submitted ini the 'presence of a large attendance of buyers, and competition throughout the sale was animated. Medium weight hides fairly maintained last sales' rates, while heavier sorts showed a decline of no to |d per lb. Prices for sheepskins were slisrhtly in advance of last sale, and. tallow showed' an advance of Is to 2s per cwt all round. The following- is, the range of prices current: — Sheepskins.—Halfbred' lid; crossbredsj fine 10§d to llfd ; medium to coarse 9d to llfs, short to half wools 8-id to dead and' damaged 3d to 9f d; inferior 2d to 7|d ; lambs| to llfd: damp, salted' and green 3s 6d to 10s each; pelts 3d to 7£d; lambs', salted; Is 9d to 7s each.

Hides.—Ox, heavy lid to ll|d; medium lOd to llfd, light 9£d to 10gd ; cow, heavv, 10di to IOJd, medium to lOfd, light 9£d to 10|d, cut, slippy and inferior 6d to lOd; hull, stag. 6£d to 7?d; yearlings to 9d j calf, super 104 d to medium to good 9d> to lid ; damaged 6d to B£d.
