COURSING
I NELSON- CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING. The Nelson Coursing Club will hold its third annual meeting' on Richmond Park commencing on Saturday next, June 3rd. For the principal event, the Challenge Stake for maiden dogs, the club is giving £4O as prize money, and there are trophies in addition. The Nelson Concert Orchestra (20 members) will render selections, and afternoon tea will be procurable under the grandstand. As | the club is devoting its profits to patriotic funds, the meeting should draw a good attendance. Ladies will be admitted free. The coursing events should prove interesting. Thirty-three entries have been received, and in addition to Nelson entries, competitors are coming from Dunedin, "Wellington, the West> •Coast, Blenheim, Havelock, Takaka, and Motueka. The draw for the first Tound of the Challenge Stake is as follows: Flying Foam collar) meet Kerry (white collar). Top Note meets Wild Erin. Euna meets Ned Kelly. Lady French meets Mavoumeen. Hinemoa meets Bonny Boy. Green Guard meets Lord Danby. Tim meets White Statesman. Spiers's entry meets Whatever. Erin's Queen meets Pride of WellingIton. Master Trafalgar meets Tco True. Slim Jim * meets Major. Miss Cavell meets Bonny Jean. King of Clubs meets Devil's Pride. Exile meets Blenheim Statesman.. Maitai Tim meets Last Card. Scutt meets Statesman's Pride. Mr G. T>ryden will act as judge, and Mr S. Pike as slipper.
