"THE ANZAC BOOK"
FOR PATRIOTIC PURPOSES. LONDON", May 23. Messrs Cassell and Co. are publishing "The Anzac Book," written and illustrated in Gallipoli by Anzacs, for the benefit of the Australian and New -Zealand patriotic (funds. One large addition was sold out before publication. The boot' contains 170 pages, with a cover design depicting an Anzac, backed by the Union, Jack, and with his bayonet .poised, defying the enemy. An. introduction has been written for the book by General Bird wood, -who touchingly refers 'to the eight months spent in Gallipoli, where he made many fast friends in all ranks. "I shall ever value these friendships," ho wrote: "my pen is incapable of describing to the Australasians and their fellow countrymen the courage and determination of those who fought and gave -up their liveifor their King. - and country's The volume is interspersed with photographs and graphic pictures in colour and' line by Ted Golles, Crozier, Wim,bush, Leyshonwhite, Capt. Bean, Roach ' and others.
