The.Times, in. a leader, says: "The dramatic arrival of Russian cavalry in Mesopotamia is a. further indication that the tide is turning, but we must, deprecate exaggerated expectations. The daring Russian forces -which, have been appearing at many places are probably limited in strength, and are chiofly in cavalry." PRISONERS FROM KUT. AMPLE MEDICAL STORES AT BAGDAD. LONDON, May 24. The Ottoman Red Crescent Society has informed the "British Red; Cross Society tha + - there are medical stoTes at BatcdaoT There is no information regarding the needs of the prisoners, but the American Consul at Bagdad is ascertaining and supplying information. The Constantinople Embassy expects Red Cross supplies from Athens, via the Greco-Bulgar frontier, the Bulgarian authorities agreeing to forward them. The Embassy advises the sending cf clothing and supplies for prisoners by this route.
