NATIONAL RESERVE

-A meeting- of the Brightwater Platoon of the .National Reserve was nold on Tuesday evening to elect a platoon commander, 'Captain ■Coleman being in the chair. Mr Poole "was unanimously 1 chosen as commander of the platoon, the chairman declaring him elected. Mr Poole thanked the members for the honour and. promised to do his best for them. It was decided to hold all future parades at Spring' Grove. ■ The platoon decided' to hold- drill parades fortnightly,.'with shooting one nightyamonth as a parade. ,and the other weekly meeting is to take the form of lectures on war and military topics. These lectures are open to the genefcil' (prfblic, and.' .questions arid discussion of the. topics is •to• be invited in the room.
