In the House of Commons, Mr Long, President _ of the Local 'Government Board; said that in order to avoid industrial compulsion, but securing -ill possible recruits, it- had been arranged that a committee ci tn© Labour Party advise the Army Council during the process of combing eligibles from munition factories:. - Members of the .House of Commons warmly critiicsed this deal -with Labour.
