Cabinet announces that it has earnestly considered the financial position, and the imperative need for economy. Haying t'egard- to the general advances i& wages since the. -war. and the measures taken to limit profits, the Government conclude that' any further advances.- in wages, other, than an. advance follownig automatically from existing agreements, should he strictly confined to the adjustment to; local conditions where adjustment is proved necessary.
