TROOPSHIP AT PORT CHALMERS

DUNEDIN, Jan. 2. .A troopship arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday direct froni Suez, after a fast and uneventful passage. , The only troopers on board were two prisoners, whose sentences expired- at the conclusion of the" voyage, when they were to be discharged from the forces. - The vessel also brought SergeantMajor Baker, of" the Royal Engineers, who came out. to act as instructor to the Engineers Division of the Dominion Forces.
