GREAT WAR COUNCIL SUMMONED BERLIN, Jan. 1. . The Kaiser has summoned a great war council on his birthday, January 27th. The Crown Prince, HuidenbuTg, Mackenseu, von Sanders, and Prince Rupprecht will be present. ' KAISER'S REPLY TO REICHSTAG'S GREETING. (Rec. Jan. 3, 8.25 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, Jan. 2. The Kaiser, replying to the Reichstag's . greeting, says:—-"I, and the entire German people hope to God that .the :: : New "Year will bring final victory for our just cause, and- a new and guaranteed basis for'the Fatherland's beneficial -development- in peaceful competition with f other nations-."
