There was a record attendance at the Poultry Show vesterday. In the afternoon the Drill.Hall was filled, and again last evening it, was difficult to m&ke one's way about the pens. Thei cats, shown for the first time in connection with the Association's Show, were the special attraction yesterday, and there can he no doubt of the popularity of the new section.

In showing cats neuter cats cannot with" "male or female" classes, as most of the local cats entered in the short-haired classes were neuters, and in order that they should not bedisqualified, extra, classes were made for neuters. In future provision; will doubtless he made for -«para.te classes for the short-haired cats. \ fine shorthaired tabby had been entered in the Persian classes, and the' judge (Mr J. Currie) was reluctantly compelled to pass it. The cat awards were as follows: — Chinchilla, male: W. H. Foglia 1 and special. Blue, male, Persian: W. H. Foglia 1., 1 and special fo»j best Persian in show. Black, male: W. H. Foglia 1, Mrs Potterson 2. Black, female: Mrs Petterson 1 and special for best female Persian m show. Tabby, Persian: Mrs V. H. Barr 1 and special for-third, best Persian in show; Miss Bird 2. Silver Tabby, female:'W. H. Foglia 1.. ' <ai: Tortoises-hell: W. H. Foglia .1. A.O. colour, Persian, female.- W. H. Foglia 1.
